Born in New Zealand I moved to the Swiss alps at the age of 3 and grew up there until 9 years old. My first memories are of being snowed into our wooden chalet surrounded by an endless expanse of mountains, a pristine playground.
I realise now what an impact these horizons had on me, and what I want to do with these images is share my first love. There is a clarity of view which can only be experienced at these altitudes but it has taken me nearly two decades of living in a city to go back and search for it, perhaps I had to find my own inner space before I could return and take them in again. Mountains take me to another plane, uplift my spirit and remind me of my humble place in the grand scheme.
