The Tel Aviv City Hall was built in the mid 20th century to replace the Old City Hall on Bialik Square. On one side, the bustling square plays host to important public events and demonstrations. The other side, former site of the city zoo, is now a shopping centre and garden with water features. The whole site is full of Brutalist touches which while they don’t add up to a coherent whole, they do make exceedingly pleasing subjects.
